Finding a large contingent of fans overseas, Alice Maio Mackay is one of our most under-appreciated Australian exports - having already directed five features (selling her first to Shudder) on a shoe-string budget, despite being under the age of 20, Maio Mackay's queer, punk, and staunchly-DIY body of work is ripe for discovery by Australian audiences.
